FTL vs LTL - Which Is Right for You?
FTL (Full Truck Load)
FTL is the best option when the cargo occupies most of the truck’s capacity in terms of volume or weight, or when short transit time and minimal handling are important. This format ensures faster delivery and less cargo handling along the route.
LTL (Less-than-Truck Load / Groupage)
LTL / Groupage is recommended when the cargo volume is relatively small and the main objective is cost optimization. The cargo is consolidated with shipments from other shippers, which may result in a longer transit time, but it is generally more economical.
